Issued 1966 on Dunhill Records # DS-50006. This is the extremely rare stereo 1st. pressing lp with the "offensive" toilet cover! It's the groups very first album too! The lp has clean black labels with sharp silver print, the vinyl is in Vg condition, it is still quite glossy with light scuffing/scratches and, sorry to say, track one, side one skips, it dosen't stick it just skips, the other tunes play out with a light surface noise that dosen't overwhelm the music at all. But actually it's the cover that's rare. The cover is in Vg+ or better condition and still retains most of it's original satin gloss! The cover does have corner wear, the top & bottom seams are intact as well as 99 percent of the spine, the top spine corner is just starting to split, approx. 1/8 inch. The mouth of the cover is still tight and the spine title print is complete. The cover is perfect for framing! The songs are: Side 1. Monday Monday, Straight Shooter, Got A Feelin', I Call Your Name, Do You Wanna Dance, Go Where You Wanna Go. Side 2. California Dreamin', Spanish Harlem, Somebody Groovy, Hey Girl, You Baby, In Crowd. There are three known cover variations for this lp, this is the first and the rarest version! I gotta ask ya, considering that this cover was on the racks for zilch amount of time in 1966, when was the last time you saw it?
