The Libertines - What A Waster b/w I Get Along 7"
Rough Trade Records RTRADES054 (2002)
The first single from Pete Doherty and The Libertines. A "waster", as used in the song, is an excessive user of drugs and alcohol. The song was used in the film The Football Factory. The song received little airplay due to its unyielding profanity. For critics and fans alike, it was a statement of intent that left few in any doubt that this band were the real deal. What a Waster was initially left off debut album Up The Bracket but was later included as the 13th track on a subsequent re-issue.
