The Leftovers –Cigarettes and Alcohol 7”

original pressing, rare, 1979 Australian Punk

 

Side A: Cigarettes and Alcohol

Side B: I Only Panic When There’s Nothing to Do, No Complaints

 

The Leftovers were the first true punk band in Brisbane. Their first gig was with the Saints and a fight erupted between the Saint’s long haired fans and the Leftovers short haired fans, and made the local police aware of this thing called ‘punk rock’. This band is the stuff of legend and this single is one of the most treasured in Australian collections.

 

Single comes in its original, plain white sleeve from its original owner and the vinyl is in near mint condition.

 

The vinyl has the large centre hole that is common on some European pressings.
