Near Mint is new condition but not sealed.
Near Mint- is almost new.
E+ might have one or two light scuffs yet plays without any noticeable background noise.
E has scuffs and might have light noise between the soft passages.
VG+ has some noticeable sound defects and might have a few light scratches. Usually worth 1/2 cost of Near Mint album.
VG usually plays well without skips. Has more noticeable wear than a VG+. Only worth collecting for Rare albums.
All Long Plays are boxed carefully in corrugated boxes made specifically for Long Plays, plus the Long Plays are housed in clear plastic sleeves. Long Play is removed from the cover (except for sealed Long Plays) for shipping to prevent seam splitting.
