The Kinks "You Really Got Me"

This is an original US vinyl pressing on Reprise 6143 from 1965.    This is a mono white label promo copy.    This was pressed in very limited numbers when this album was first issued.     This was their very first album.     It has only four original compositions and the rest are blues covers.     It does have their first huge hit single : 'You Really Got Me'.       The cover does not have any promo markings.

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG+ /  Record is VG-

The cover is VG+ with no seam splits and no seam wear.     There is no ring wear on the front cover and there is light overall cover wear on the back cover.     There is a name and number stamped on the front cover at top right.   The vinyl looks VG- and it plays VG-.      There are paper scuffs and lots of tiny hair lines on the vinyl.    There are a few tiny specs of white in the vinyl that make pops.    It plays through with background static, pops, but no skips.    The labels are clean with lots of light spindle marks.  The record comes in a Repreise Records inner sleeve. 

The songs are : Beautiful Delilah, So Mystifing, Just Can't Go To Sleep, Long Tall Shorty, You Really Got Me, Cadillac, Bald Headed Woman, Too Much Monkey Business, I've Been Driving On Bald Mountain, Stop Your Sobbing, and Got Love If You Want It.

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.  

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.    One sheet is 5/8 inch thick triple strength industrial cardboard.   The other sheet is 1/4 inch double strength cardboard.   Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic album sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides. 

Postage :  Weight : 1 pound 6 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office changes.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 22 ounces ( 1 pound, 6 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and a email with the tracking number.      Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.   I will let you know the date I mailed your record and the US customs number.   ( Buyers from Italy must assume all risks for shipping to their country. )      I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.
