The Kinks – Something Else By The KinksGenuine 1967 UK Mono First Pressing (Pye Records – NPL.18193)Up for sale is a highly sought-after, 100% authentic 1967 UK mono first-pressing of Something Else By The Kinks on the original pink Pye Records label. This is a cornerstone piece of 1960s British rock history, featuring iconic tracks like "Waterloo Sunset" and "David Watts".This copy is highly collectible as it features the incredibly rare 1M / 1M earliest day-of-production matrix stampers.Matrix / Runout Numbers (Machine-Stamped):Side 1 Matrix: NPL 18193A-1 * MSide 2 Matrix: NPL 18193B-1 * M💿 CONDITION GRADINGVINYL CONDITION: VERY GOOD (VG)The vinyl record retains a good amount of its original gloss but shows a couple of minor, light surface scratches under direct light. The original pink Pye paper labels are exceptionally clean and bright with minimal spindle wear around the center hole. It plays through beautifully with some expected, warm vintage background crackle in quiet passages, handling the classic punchy mono mix brilliantly. No skips or jumps.CARDBOARD JACKET CONDITION: VERY GOOD (VG)Includes the original 1960s laminated front flipback cardboard jacket. The front jacket has a nice glossy shine with some light, age-related creasing near the edges. The reverse unlaminated side shows natural vintage age toning, but there are no heavy stains, pen marks, or seam splits.INNER SLEEVE NOTE:Please note: The original plain paper inner sleeve is missing. The record will be safely shipped housed inside a brand-new, protective white paper inner sleeve.
