Description
A great copy of a great 1960s almost lost gem featuring fantastic songs all beautifully played. For auction 'SOMETHING ELSE BY THE KINKS' ON PINK MONO PYE NPL 18193 The band of course need no introduction and it could be argued that this classic album represents Ray Davies' at it's very best with all time belters 'Death of a Clown' (credited to brother Dave as a single) 'David Watts' (famously covered by The Jam) and of course the perfectly realised 'Waterloo Sunset.'
What makes this pressing all the more remarkable and desirable is the fact that it is the rarer mono pressing as by this time the switch to stereo only pressings had begun apace!
The sleeve is a thick cardboard unlaminated and intact with a metallic sheen to it. It has two scratches to the front on the left which are just visible on the pics. There is a slight mark on the top left. The spine has a slight scuff but is intact with the title and band being perfectly visible. The rear is fine and the sleeve as whole can be judged VG.The inner is poly lined and I think original. The record itself and labels are unmarked and can be described as EX. Interest is sure to be high in this very rare record - particularly in this condition!
