Description
You are bidding on a Canadian Pye "Allied Record Corporation" issue 1965 Kinks-Size album. This album was an early effort to introduce The Kinks to North America. The Canadian and US versions have the same tracks, but the Canadian album cover has different artwork from the American Reprise version.
The album cover is not perfect, however, there is a piece of clear tape in the middle of Dave Davies' face that I have never tried to remove, (see picture)I'm sure it will peel some of the cover off with it. As well, there is a mark on the upper right hand corner of the front side where someone has removed a pricetag and took out a part of the "E" in Size (See Picture), plus some water staining on the bottom corner (picture 6). Vinyl looks good, there are some light scratches visible on both sides. Album cover is made from surprisingly heavy paper. There is a nice interview section of the band on the back cover that shows Mick and Ray taking the interview process very seriously but Pete and Dave having a good time with it, including Dave listing "girls that drink beer" as a miscellaneous like and Pete listing "The Patrick O' Shaughnessy big Irish top sextet from India" as his favourite band.
This survivor album is fairly rare, a North American only release, and the Canadian version rarer still with lower numbers printed.
It's just the thing to round out your collection.
