Description
First US pressing of the Kinks album Face to Face in Stereo on the tri colour Reprise label RS6228. Matrices are hand etched 30595 RS 6228-A & 30596 RS 6228-B.
Sleeve
Sleeve has a corner cut & an "air" sprocket inserted(picture 3). The top right hand corner has taken a knock(picture 4). Otherwise the sleeve is looking very good for it's age. No splits or writing. Very slight discolouration on the rear. Not really sure how to grade it with the corner cut. So I suggest you study the pictures carefully.
Record - visual
In a word - stunning. Very clean I cannot even see any sleeve removal marks. If I didn't know better I would assume it is new. Needless to say no scratches. The record lies flat and is beautifully glossy. The only fault I could find on the record is 2 spots on the pink part of the label on side 1(picture 9). The marks are very faint. I would grade the record as Excellent+ at least.
Record - audio
The audio is equally stunning. No pops, clicks, jumps or static. It plays without any fault. Easily Excellent+
As far as the vinyl is concerned I find it difficult to believe that their is a better copy out there.
Inner sleeve not original.
