The Kinks
The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society
1968 UK Mono 1st Pressing
Pye Records, NPL 18233

Often considered Ray Davies' masterpiece (or even his Sgt. Pepper), this album didn't sell a thing upon initial release, and this original Mono edition has become one of the absolute most prized 'Kinks Kollectables'.

The record is visually very nice. A lovely shiny sheen albeit with some light scratches. It does play all the way through with crackles and some pops throughout, however I found it an enjoyable listen. No skips on my turntable. I think the crackles may have come from possibly being played on a crap needle in the past?

The sleeve is in G condition. Quite worn, but still holding together in one piece.

So overall, a decent budget copy. Far better than paying £300+ for a minter!
