Description of the record:

This is a double album by “The Jimi Hendrix Experience” called “Electric Ladyland”. This is the 1968 1st pressing on the Track label catalogue number 613008/9.

Gatefold sleeve:

The gatefold sleeve has been graded as VG; some minor creasing on the bottom left hand corner. The laminate has started to fracture down the spine on the inside of the sleeve. Apart from that it’s in excellent condition.

The sleeve is a first pressing with the blue text and the larger sepia pictures of Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell.

Labels:

The labels show spindle ware (see pictures). Again these tell you that the record is a first pressing. The catalogue data above the catalogue number is inverted. The title of the album overlaps the centre indent and there is a small gap between the words “Jimi Hendrix” and “A. Schroeder Music”

Side A: 613008 (8 is crossed out and 8 hand written) A//1

Side B: 613009 (9 is crossed out and 9 hand written) A //1

Side C: 613009 (9 is crossed out and 9 is hand written) B//1

Side D: 613008 (8 is crossed out and 8 is hand written) B//1

Vinyl:

The records have been pressed in black vinyl and grade as VG; some back ground noise but not obtrusive. Visually the vinyl looks very clean with the odd mark and surface scratch (see pictures). The records have been pressed so that side 1 & 4 are on record 1 and sides 2 & 3 are on record 2. This is so that they can be played on a stacking system; sides 1 & 2 play then you flip them over on the stacker and play sides 3 & 4.

Poly lined sleeves:

The poly lined sleeves that come with this record one is an original and the other looks like a substitute but is from the same era and is from the same manufacturer.

The record was graded using a Linn Adikt cartridge combined with a Gyger 2 stylus through an audiophile system. For grading definitions see the bottom of this advert.

Guarantee:

Having played the records all the way through I guarantee the person who buys the records will not be disappointed; taking the grading into account. However if the item does not meet with the customers expectation then a full refund will be given if the item is returned in the same condition as it was sent. The refunding of postage and packaging will depend on the nature of the dissatisfaction.

Packaging:

The records will be packaged appropriately to prevent any damage from occurring during transit. Sealed records are not tampered with; if the records are not sealed then the following steps are taken. Records are removed from the outer sleeve to prevent damage occurring to the records or outer sleeve during transit. If records are housed in customised inner sleeves then the records are removed from the customised inner sleeves and placed in white inner sleeves. This prevents damage occurring to the customised inners sleeves such as seam splits and ring ware during transit.

Posting times:

Items will be posted the next working day after payment has been received or cleared.

Combining Postage & Packaging:

If more than one item is purchased, where possible, postage and packaging will be combined to give the cheapest and most appropriate postal option.

I only give feedback after I’ve received it. This is because I need to know that the buyer is satisfied with the product before I can give feedback. If they are not satisfied with the product then there will be other issues to deal with such as refunds; return of product etc.

Definitions for Record Grading:

M = Mint

M sleeve: No wear of any kind to the sleeve.

M record: No wear what so ever to the record. Any mint records in this collection will have been played only a handful of times.

Ex = Excellent

Ex sleeve: Some slight wear to the cover; some impression to the cover; no seam splits.

Ex record: Minimal wear; some scuffs; record plays close to perfect.

VG = Very Good

VG sleeve: Some ageing; minor wear to seams or spine; minor creasing, some impression.

VG record: Some surface scratching; some back ground noise but not obtrusive.

Gd = Good

Gd sleeve: Cover in poor condition; seam splits; tears.

Gd record: Surface scratching; back ground noise is obtrusive.

I made a mistake in the listing the inner sleeves are not the originals. I have provided replacements and will send the ones it came with which are in poor condition.
