Description
The Jazz Scene Collection: Personally Signed by Norman Granz and Officially Numbered (#2375 of 5000) Limited Edition. The great jazz artists of their day are immortalized either in photos and/or in sound; the great Duke Ellington, Charlie 'Byrd' Parker, Lester 'The Great' Young, Buddy Rich, Ella Fitzgerald, George Handy, Bud Powell and many, many others.
This set is from the Mercury Record label produced in 1949. (4 each) Vinyl Records are in great shape and they seem to have been played very little. (2 each) Vinyl records have noticeable surface scratches and smudges from jacket insertion and removal, but minimal detraction from the vinyl's playability. The album cover is in great shape with no damage and minimal fading for being 66 years old. Pages and pictures are all intact and in great condition, no rips or no tears. NO PHOTOS MISSING. THIS COLLECTION INCLUDES ALL 31 BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOS! Other competing offers have one or more pictures missing. There is some normal yellowing of the white pages in this set which is to be expected due to the aging process of the album (66 years).
This collection was issued in 1949 as a signed Limited Edition of 5,000 copies by the great NORMAN GRANZ. The buyer will receive number #2375 as notarized underneath the handwritten signature of Norman Granz himself. The album is made of a handsome black hardbound cloth. Normal fading but, no rips, no tears,...again,...great condition for 66 years of graceful age...a beautiful display!
This set includes 6 each, 12inch, 78RPM (VG+) vinyl discs and 31 high quality black and white photos of the jazz greats of the 1950's all packaged in a black hardbound cloth album.
