Original MINT 1971 UK FIRST PRESSING 12-track vinyl LP on the pink rimmed Island 'palm tree' label, housed in a textured gatefold picture sleeve with lyrics inside and the original inner sleeve. The picture sleeve and inner sleeve are both in Excellent condition (see notes) and the vinyl looks – and sounds – MINT. A stunning copy of this unique album!

This important transitional LP from the Incredible String Band is hardly ever offered for sale in this condition.
This is the extremely rare real thing: a genuine Mint/Ex condition UK first pressing. The record, cover and inner sleeve are all in excellent condition, without any obvious defects like scratches, tears, creases, stickers, writing, dog ears, stains and the like. The only thing that prevents me giving the cover a Mint grade is the usual slight discolouration at the spine. See pics. All items are the genuine originals bought together by me in 1971 not reprints or replacements. The LP is the original UK 1971 stereo LP, which was only played once or twice on top-end audiophile equipment and lovingly cared for.

Liquid Acrobat as Regards the Air is the ninth album by the Incredible String Band. It features Mike Heron, Robin Williamson, Licorice McKechnie and Malcolm Le Maistre. The album was the band's first almost entirely electric recording; a new feature that was to define the change in the band's sound throughout their final period through 1974. The album did well on the charts, and was the most financially successful of the band's output.

The Incredible String Band was one of the most engaging groups to emerge from the esoteric '60s. Basically the duo of Mike Heron and Robin Williamson, its sound was comprised of haunting Celtic folk melodies augmented by a variety of Middle Eastern and Asian instruments. Heron was a member of several rock bands in England in the early '60s, while Williamson and Clive Palmer played as a bluegrass and Scottish folk duo. Heron was asked to join as rhythm guitarist, and the trio named itself the Incredible String Band.
A fantastic time warp example of this rarity in amazing condition, a true investment grade item - get it while you can!
