WOW -- gorgeous copy of this coveted LP that introduced the world to Brigitte Bardot (thirteen pics of her on the back in a bikini)!
The vinyl for this collector's item has been stored in a poly-lined inner sleeve (possibly original), with only a couple of extremely faint hairlines and slight sleeve scuffs on the vinyl under direct light (no scratches). The singular serious flaw on the cover is a 5" split on the top seam from the mouth of the jacket -- otherwise, structurally sound with no creasing, dings, writing, tape, etc (just minor storage wear). Spine text of "Brigitte Bardot" and "The Girl In The Bikini" is also legible (a bit of chipping wear near the top and bottom corners). NOTE: there is no discoloration on the black and white back cover, any that is perceived is due only to the light from the camera angle....
Professionally cleaned on a VPI 16.5 to maximize fidelity. All I am hearing from playback besides the lovely music is the very faint hiss of the master tape/pressing limitations far in the background (more likely than not inherent to all copies of the LP, imo) -- not intrusive in the slightest and easily filtered out by a quality receiver. No crackling or pops to speak of, even between tracks (occasional soft click here and there -- very mild).
