Description
An original 1st issue of Freewheelin on the CBS label from late'63. Matrix 4A-1/4B-1. There are earlier Philips pressings from right at the time of release but this copy dates from 6 moths later 'Xmas 63' whilst Freewheelin' was still charting. Please note the labels are textured with large '33' for the speed. The heavy vinyl comes housed in an original flipback sleeve. Also included is the original 'patents applied for' white inner. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg) Despite having seen an, at least, moderate level of use it still plays through well. Several marks either side - nothing heavy though. Do expect a bit of static crackle here and there and certainly the odd pop. If you're a purist then this LP is certainly not going to interest you. But if you're someone who is looking for a decent copy that plays through fine - it more than acquits itself.
Cover (Vg) In great shape and has been cared for down the years. lovely shiny front with just a couple of creases in the top left corner. The rear is clean, but is exhibiting ageing as you often find on these early copies. All flipbacks are intact and edge wear is relatively light. The spine is fully intact. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. One 1c.m. edge split.
