Not just a rare record but a rare label as well!

Axis was, in fact, an early incarnation of the seminal 4AD label. Axis changed their name to 4AD a short time after this release, so releases on this label are very rare. This was the first single (AXIS 1) released on the Axis label and the only release by The Fast Set on the label.
Only 3 other singles by other bands were released by the Axis label before it became 4AD.
