The Fall: Slates EP, Vinyl, Rough Trade Records, 1981
The Fall were an English post-punk group, formed in 1976 in Prestwich, Greater Manchester. They underwent many line-up changes, with vocalist and founder Mark E. Smith as the only constant member.
Slates is an EP by the Fall, released on 27 April 1981 by Rough Trade Records. It was one of singer Mark E. Smith's favourite Fall releases, and he claimed it was aimed at "people who didn't buy records"
It has been kept in storage in a smoke free household. It is from a large and varied record collection, not a DJ collection. This piece of vinyl has never been DJed and is in generally good condition.
On 1 Obj. there are a few crackles before the first track A1 Middle Mass. At the start of A2 'An Older Lover etc', there are two crackles. Flip over, on 2 Subj. there are some crackles before track B3, 'Leave The Capitol', then with the odd crackle during this track.
The record sleeve also shows some foxing from age and being in storage. Also it has wear and tear, light damage to the sleeve (see photos).
