Description
Bingo Master's Super Bundle - original 7" and reissued Record Store Day 2016 version.
Autographed "Bingo Master's Break-Out" 7" single SF7: On the front, it is signed by Mark E Smith horizontally in top-left position. Mark wrote "To Dave, all the best. I've got fat on me lens me ducks." The reference was a joke on his part to something I had said to him many years earlier when I couldn't take a photograph of him because of a greasy fingerprint on the lens of the camera I was trying to use. The reference to "me ducks," was similarly down to the language that I had used back then, meaning "mate" in the town I was living in. I was known variously in friendship at the time to him and the rest of the band as "Dave from Derby" or "Derby Dave" or "the Health Inspector" or "Oliver North."
To the successful bidder, I will provide the background as to how I was given this autograph, including a photograph taken at the time, but not showing Mark actually signing this record.
As stated above, I don't know how this record plays as it has been many years since I owned a vinyl player, but if you bid on this, you probably don't want to play it, but keep it for the signature.
The second item is the Record Store Day 2016 version - not nearly as exciting and it comes still wrapped in cellophane with the "Limited Edition" tag. On blue vinyl, it is a pale imitation of the original, but a good companion nonetheless. It is unplayed as it is still bagged!
