Here for sale is a very clean one-owner copy of The Fall’s debut 7” E.P. released on the Step Forward record label in spring 1978. Both the vinyl itself and the picture sleeve have been extremely well looked after down the decades, having been purchased from Liverpool’s Probe Records by singer/author Julian Cope, who promptly stored the item in a heavy clear polythene 7” cover. The sleeve itself bears no signs of ring wear, and is still as clean as when first purchased. Similarly, both sides of the disc have just been played through, without much negativity to report. There is some very minor between song surface noise here-and-there but the songs themselves – ‘Psycho Mafia’, ‘Bingo-Master’ and ‘Repetition’ – are all clean, save for minor surface noise at the beginning of the title track.
