Description
This is a rare 4 LP set of Alan Watts lectures titled The Essential Alan Watts, released by Electronic University/Celestial Arts in 1973/1974. It includes the following lectures, one each on a side:
- Nothingness
- Death
- Meditation
- God
- Cosmic Drama
- Time
- Ego
- The More It Changes
For the most part, the records and packaging are in very good to excellent condition, with two exceptions. There are two scratches on side B of record 1 (Death; see pic). I expect they would cause skipping. Also, on the outer sleeve for record 1, a previous owner cut out the photo of Alan (see pic). Otherwise, a couple LP sides have light scuffing, nothing that should cause skips or pops. There is a little bit of discoloration around the sides of record 1's sleeve (see pic) and on the edges of the other sleeves.
Upon taking more photos, I also noticed that on the God record label, a previous owner replaced "38" with "28" in pencil (see pic).
The set also includes a booklet and promotional letter from Electronic University (see pics). Additionally, it comes in the original postal mailer box with Electronic University's return address. Pretty cool.
