Description
Rare promotional 7” vinyl featuring The Dubliners.
This appears to be an early radio promotional sampler or test pressing, likely from the mid-1960s during the group’s early recordings for Transatlantic Records.
The disc has plain white labels with handwritten text reading “Dubliners Promo”.
No sleeve was issued with the record.

Additional small markings visible in the run-out include “H/P”, a triangle symbol, and a “G”.
The record contains short clips of several classic Dubliners songs with spoken promotional narration between the tracks, introducing the band and individual singers. Songs referenced include:
• Peggy Gordon
• Whiskey in the Jar
• The Rising of the Moon
The narration references members such as Luke Kelly and Ronnie Drew, suggesting this was produced as a promotional radio disc.
The vinyl itself is thick pressed vinyl, not an acetate, and appears to be a genuine factory pressing rather than a home recording.
Condition:
Good vintage condition. Some light surface marks consistent with age but plays well overall. Labels are handwritten as shown in photos.
Because this appears to be a promo/test pressing, it may have been produced in very small numbers and may not have been commercially released.
A great and unusual piece of Irish folk memorabilia for collectors of The Dubliners or vintage promotional records.
