The Doors – Self-Titled LP (1967)

Elektra Records – EKS-74007 (Stereo disc) with EKL-4007 (Mono sleeve)

Monarch pressing (MR stamp in deadwax)


This is an original 1967 U.S. pressing of The Doors debut album. It features the stereo record housed in a leftover mono sleeve — a well-documented transitional issue from when Elektra was phasing out mono jackets. These first-press variations are sought after by collectors for their authenticity and historical significance.


Condition (Visual Grade):


Vinyl: VG+ — Clean with light hairlines/scuffs. Plays strong with only light background noise typical of vintage vinyl. Labels are clean.


Cover: G (Good) — Original mono sleeve with Stereo sticker. Noticeable wear, creasing, and edge wear but fully intact with legible spine.


Inner Sleeve: G — Original inner present but worn/split (or note replacement if applicable).
