Description

The Doors - ‘Morrison Hotel’ German test pressing

For auction is an extremely rare test pressing with manually  typed labels. Titles and other information are all in German.  A piece of tape with the Elektra catalog number ‘75007’ is applied to both sides.  The record is marked below the spindle hole as follows:

‘PRUFEN SIE DAS BETATIGEN
FUR AUTORISIERTES PERSONAL NUR
NICHT FUR VERKAUF’

In English:

‘CHECK THE PRESS
FOR AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY
NOT FOR SALE '

The ‘B’ side label is hand marked with an ‘X’, likely indicating that this pressing didn’t meet standards. Otherwise, the vinyl appears to be in excellent condition with no visible surface defects. See the photos for more information.
