"LA Woman" - Jim Morrison (voc); Ray Manzarek (keyb); Robby warrior (g); John Densmore (dr)

The title song of this, the last Doors album with Jim Morrison, which died shortly after its release, has "perhaps the best Chuck Berry riffs since the Stones," a critic noted. And that without even mentioning "Love Her Madly", which became one of the biggest hits on the charts for the Doors.
"Love Her Madly" was written by Doors guitarist Robbie Krieger, who is said to have written the song because of the countless times that his girlfriend threatened to leave him. The song rose to no. 11 of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles and became No. 3 in Canada.
"LA Woman" was still at the top of the charts when, just like in the poem "actor out on loan" in the last song on the LP - the acclaimed "Riders On The Storm" - Jim Morrison in a bath in the summer of 1971 died in Paris.
With titles such as "The Changeling", "Crawling King Snake" and the airy, exuberant theme song, this collection clearly tended towards the blues - especially through Morrison's boastful trademark "Lizard King". All in all, Rolling Stone declared "LA Woman" the "best album by the Doors, the first included" and as "setting standards and worth being danced on the streets".
Analogue Productions and Quality Record Pressings proudly announce all six studio LPs - "The Doors", "Strange Days", "Waiting For The Sun", "Soft Parade", "Morrison Hotel" and "LA Woman" - at 200g / 45rpm on. All vinyl films were cut by Doug Sax from the original analog master tapes, except "The Doors", which title was mastered from the best tape copy available.
Truly an authentic reissue project, in which the original recordings were made with tube devices, the tape device for playing the master tapes is a tube device and the cutting system in equal measure: tubes all the way through!
