Tom Zutaut

Tom Zutaut (b. Park Forest, Illinois) is a manager, producer and scout for Geffen and Elektra Records in the United States. The greatest achievements of Zutaut are the discovery of the legendary hard rock band Guns N 'Roses in 1987, and the attachment of Mötley Crue to Elektra Records , as well as acting as a renowned band manager.

Mötley Crue and Guns N'Roses [ edit | edit wiki ]

In 1981, Zutaut was just a new manager at Elektra Records. Zutaut found that Mötley Cruen was a promising band in his own mind . When Zutaut introduced the band to other managers, they laughed and said: Rock N'Roll is dead . But Zutaut kept his credit in the band and recorded them into the company, and how Mötley Cruebecame a big success. A few years later, Zutaut heard about a new band called Guns N'Roses , which had gained a lot of reputation at Hollywood clubs, and decided to go see it. Convinced by the group's abilities, Zutaut warned other talent scouts by saying that: Guns N'Roses smells!, and recorded the band to Elektra. The band Motley Crue , like really became a great success. [1]
