Here we have a rare promotional LP from 1964, "The Dave Clark Five Interviews". This item was shipped to radio stations shortly after the band's first appearances on the Ed Sullivan TV Show, to capitalize on the growing excitement about the group's early hits.

The one-sided LP comes with its original bright yellow paper sleeve, along with the rare original two-page promo sheets, which were included when the disc was shipped to radio stations. The promo sheets are good clean condition, except for some very slight yellowing and one corner of one page has a slight wrinkle.

The promo sheets include a description of this very special album:

"This single faced, long play album contains seven separate and complete interviews with the Dave Clark Five, conducted in the Epic Studios a few days ago. In each interview the moderator leads the group, singly and collectively, through a series of those questions asked of the Dave Clark Five in the thousands of fan letters received here. We are not sure which of the seven will most adequately fill your programming needs, however, we're sure that you will find several of them to be exactly what you're looking for."

Page two is dated March 20, 1964 and is signed "Victor M. Linn of Epic Records".

The LP appears to be in very good condition with a few smudges on the edges from light handling. I'm guessing this LP was perhaps played once or twice, and then stored away. It has been in my collection since the 1970s.

Warman's Record Field Guide prices this LP at $300 to $600, but I doubt their estimate includes the original promo sheets. Here's your chance to get the LP and ultra rare promo documents, all at a below market price.
