Description
The First two EPs from Hoylake's The Coral:
Shadows Fall, Deltasonic Records 2000, Limited edition of 1000, featuring the tracks Shadows fall, The ballad of Simon Diamond & A sparrow's song.
The Oldest Path, Deltasonic Records 2001, Limited edition of 2000, featuring the tracks The oldest path, God knows, Short balled & Flys.
These two have been the best thing in my collection for a few years and are in really nice condition having only been played a handful of times. The first one is probably the more well known, with a slightly different version of Shadows fall appearing on The Coral's first proper LP - this particular example features the sticker on the back from Red Alert explaining The Coral's background and influences (WWF wrestling among other things!) and it is also signed in silver pen on the front by all six members, this was obtained from a fan who had them all sign it after an early gig at the Sheffield Leadmill. The second EP is not signed but it would still be a very welcome addition to any fan's collection as the tunes featured are really excellent and don't appear anywhere else in their releases so far. Overall these two CDs are a very important part of the band's history and development and anyone who has them will surely agree.
