Small Wonder cat. no: Small 9.
'A' side: Small Wonder; 'B' side: 2nel.
This disc generally plays well with little surface noise BUT: there is some damage to the 'A' side. This track starts with some studio chatter/atmos and, at a point before the music starts, my tone arm sticks so the few seconds before repeat over and over; to carry on, I have to give the arm a tiny nudge. I can see a mark on the surface; I think it's damage rather than dirt. Other turntables may be able to play without sticking, but there will always be a pop or click at some point.
The sleeve is in generally good condition, but with some fraying of the bottom seam where it has come slightly unstuck. There is slight embossing from the disc label on both sides.
Disclaimer: every effort has been made to assess the condition of this vinyl record (and where appropriate it’s sleeve) fairly. However, any such assessment is very subjective and, as vinyl enthusiasts will know, the audibility and intrusiveness of surface noise in the form of clicks and pops is dependent on the equipment the disc is played on. As a general rule, ‘B’ sides will suffer more from surface noise of all sorts than ‘A’ sides, and E.P.s (or singles with longer than usual running times) more than normal singles. ‘Embossing’ is where the raised surface of the disc label has caused marks forming a circle on the sleeve.
Records will be sent in cardboard mailers; if the final auction value exceeds £20 the buyer will be offered the opportunity to increase the insurance value.
