Description

The Country All-Stars ~ String Dustin'  RCA Victor LPM-3167 1953
Country music history! This extremely rare original 10-inch LP by The Country All-Stars features legendary Nashville guitarist Chet Atkins and Henry "Homer" Haynes and Ken "Jethro" Burns with Charles Grean and Ernie Newton (bass), Dale Potter (fiddle). String Dustin' received very little marketing by RCA and sold very few copies at the time. The music on the album is an absolutely stunning example of country jazz/country swing, with jazz standards like "Stompin' At The Savoy" and "Sweet Georgia Brown" being handled in top-notch Nashville fashion. The album was fittingly issued on CD under the title Jazz From The Hills. Here's a chance to own a superb copy of this superstar session!
Original US RCA Victor Press: ~10" MONO album~ ~Black RCA labels with silver print~ ~'-3S/-1S' - very early matrices!~
Condition: Cover: NM-. Surely one of the finest examples out there. Tri-color front cover slick is very well preserved. Both seams and spine are tight - almost as new. Spine print is clearly legible. Only defects are a very light sticker mark at upper right on front and very light pinching to corners.  Labels: VG+ to VG++. Excellent quality with only a few light spindle marks.  Vinyl: VG+. Vinyl retains a substantial amount of gloss for its age and plays loud with excellent analogue sound quality. A few superficial marks are visible. A small mark on "Stompin' At The Savoy" causes a few ticks/pops.
