Description
This is a single release from Kare Records in Columbus, Ohio in 1972. This single features The Boppers with "Cleveland Dolls" and "Dancing in Rocket City." These are both proto-punk, proto-glam garage rock tunes with a few studio flourishes. The "Rocket City" track has a metatextual reference to the Rolling Stones. You can listen to these two tracks on Youtube with a basic search.
The Kare Records label from Columbus is a small, local independent label that released eight singles and a few long players, most of which do not even appear on internet searches. They were recently added to Discogs. There are very few copies of this record in the world.
If you are interested in obscure records from obscure labels, consider adding this record to your collection.
This record looks to be unplayed. It is factory mint with a beautiful shine, but from years of storage, there is some very slight warping. However, the warping is not so severe that it will interfere with the sound quality or playability, but it does keep me from labeling this as "Mint." This is basically an old new stock record that has never been played.
The record you see in the picture is the one you will receive.
