Description
The Bonniwell Music Machine on Warner Bros. W - 1732. Very nice Mono WLP of this 60's classic LP. The record visually is graded as a strong VG+ to VG++ and play grades as VG+ to mint minus. I play graded this on a modest entry level high end system. There are only a few faint sleeve marks on the record and some storage marks, but no scratches. Playback was very clean with an occaisional pop or click, but still very enjoyable. The cover is also VG+ with some minor foxing on the back cover, but not too bad. The front cover is clean with minor bumping to the corners. (See Scan) What makes this record unique is the alternate version of "Eagle Never Hunts The Fly" on side one. The label lists "Double Yellow Line" as the second song, but plays the alternate version of "Eagle". The song has added guitar effects in several places. Much more psychedelic sounding than the straight version that is also on the other side. I've heard other stock mono copies that played the regular songs, so I assume this was quickly corrected. I can only guess that just a handful of these exist, especially in this condition. I have never found any reference to this press in any of my Goldmine price guides. Comments or questions are welcome. The side one matrix numbers are 1732 A A1, and side two matrix numbers are 1732 B A1.
RECORD GRADING: My records are visually graded only unless I state otherwise. Labels such as RCA, Capitol, Colpix, Atlantic, and MGM were pressed on better quality vinyl and will sound better than a record which visually appears the same on labels such as Crown, Score, Diplomat, or Design. There may also be defects in the pressing which are invisible. An album on RCA graded Very Good plus (VG+) may sound far better than an album on Crown graded Near Mint (NM). All my sales are guaranteed and I will issue a refund if you are dissatisfied with a record. But don’t be surprised if a record visually graded NM doesn’t sound more like VG. Again, consider the label. I do not use a grading of excellent (EX) on vinyl. To me this is the most overrated rating and should be a near perfect copy and most of the ones I have seen, are not.
