There is probably no one better equipped to tell baseball stories than Waite Hoyt, voice of the Cincinnati Reds. Of his 22 years as a player in the major leagues, 11 of these years were spent as a teammate of the "Babe". Mr. Hoyt's remarkable memory as well as his qualities as a great storyteller enable him to relate to his radio audiences stories, anecdotes, and narratives of his experiences during his relationship with Babe Ruth. The stories contained in this album were taken from actual broadcasts during "rainbreaks" of the Cincinnati Reds games. These stories show the many sides of the greatest hero ever to play our national pastime.. Babe Ruth.
