How I Grade: NM is a record that is flawless or at least almost. VG+ is a good collectable record that doesn't quite stand up to NM but comes close, with very few flaws. VG is your most common record with scratches and such but can still be played just fine. If a record is really scratched up, I'd rather bury it than sell it to you.
This is the best of Muddy Waters. No Reserve! The record and jacket are near mint! The seams are perfect. It looks like it was never played. I've listened to the album, and there are very minimal pops. It sounds really clean. The label looks great, and I just recently removed the shrink so you can see the jacket's surface. It is raised a bit in one little isolated spot as you can see where I have my ink pen pointed to. The shrink wrap was on it for sixty years! I removed it so you can see just how superb this album really is.
Please note however, as I listened through, there is a tiny raised pock mark in the middle of song six, I'm Ready." Because of this "built in" flaw the song skips at that point. Although there is this issue with song six, I'm still grading this album as near mint because it's just too darn pretty all around. I just want you to be aware of this before bidding.
