This auction is for The Beatles "Revolver" vinyl LP - UK Parlophone Records PMC 7009 - mono.
This is actually the first pressing of the LP from 1966. According to "The Beatles Collection" the original mix (Remix 11) was discarded after the initial run and replaced with remix "8' from that point into the future. It appears that John Lennon was unhappy with remix 11 after hearing it and had production stopped and new masters were cut and the pressing plates were replaced. First presses of this LP have a side 2 matrix number of "XEX 606 1" whereas standard presses have "XEX 606 2" and beyond. Side one matrix is XEX 605 2."
Also, early labels misprint side 2 track "Doctor Robert" has "Dr. Robert".
Original presses have each song title followed by song credits and the lead vocalist of that track.
The labels are black with yellow logo and silver print. "The Gramophone Co..." is in the rim print and "Sold In UK...." is printed above the play hole. The tax code is also present.
The laminated cover has no seam or spine splits, no writing, no stickers, etc. There are a couple of creased areas as is common on these types of covers. The back cover has the white flaps. Grades VG+.
The vinyl has some light scratches and some scuffing, etc - visually grades VG+. The record has been play tested and sounds fine with no skips.
