Description

       Here is an unusual copy of The Beatles' "Help!" LP. It is a Russian pressing on Antrop Records F191 00134 released in 1992.

       My first impression is that the front cover shows the Beatles in color, as opposed to the U.S. cover where they are in black and white. Next, I noticed that the back cover shows some different photos from the movie "Help!" when compared with the U.S. LP or the UK LP.

      Next, the Beatles images on the original UK Parlophone LP use the semaphore method of signaling and the Beatles actually do not spell H-E-L-P. They spell NUJV!  On the U.S. LP the images of the Beatles were switched around from the UK images. On the U.S. LP the Beatles spell out NVUJ. Here on the Russian LP, first all body images were flipped over, then different head shots of the Beatles were place on their bodies! Very strange!
     I play tested some of the Russian vinyl. The vinyl looks and plays Mint! There are 14 cuts here and I can't read Russian, but it looks like the LP follows the UK/Parlophone LP as far as song titles.
     Antrop Records are a legitimate record label in Russia and from the sound of this LP, they are right up to date as far as sound is concerned.
