Court rulings during litigation with Capitol records prohibited Vee-Jay records from issuing any new Beatles material but did not prohibit repackaging old material- as Vee-Jay had done earlier with "Songs, pictures and stories of the fabulous Beatles". Coincidently, Vee-Jay lost contract rights to the Four Seasons about the same time as it did with the Beatles due to non payment of royalties but retained rights to issue whatever Four Seasons songs it still had the masters of. To milk as much profit from the Beatles sales as possible yet stay within legal limitations , Vee-Jay issued this double album . Anticipating slow sales Vee-Jay limited production of less than 20,000 copies. This is a very rare limited edition album in VG condition. No markings or, grading on the inside cover, no splits in the cover and rips or tears. The records are protected with the Mofi sleeve protectors and play excellent. Not much wear on the spindle holes and labels are in great shape. The insert poster is not an original as the dimensions seem to be off from the original size, however it adds value to the collection as a whole.
