This is a 1965 U.S. CAPITOL RECORDS MONO COPY OF THE 1965 LP titled 'Rubber Soul' from The Beatles.  It is Capitol Records U.S. catalog number T 2442, black labels with rainbow borders, with its original stock Capitol Records 'Enjoy The Greatest Stereo You've Ever Heard' inner sleeve.  

Black rainbow label without "subsidiary" rim text. First press labels have the names of the group members, but do not have "The Beatles".

The caption ''File Under'' is in black and in the top.

We rate both the records and the record jacket.  If the record does not live up to our grading upon receipt, please email us through EBAY before leaving a Feedback or Rating so that we may correct it for you.

General standards For Record Grading 

Mint (M) - Still shrink wrapped, unplayed, new copy of a record. no visual defects!

Near Mint (NM) - a nearly perfect record that has usually only been played 1-3 times, in "like new" condition.

Very Good + / Excellent (VG+) - 

A VG+ / Excellent record will show minor signs that it was played but otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. 

Record surface may show light scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not 

affect the sound are "OK". The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should 

be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been misshapen by repeated play. Picture sleeves will have some slight wear, 

lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a 

cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount. In general, if not for a couple things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint. 

(All but the most particular collectors 

will find a Very Good Plus record highly acceptable.)

Very Good (VG) - record has more wear than VG+ with some more surface noise, light pops, scuffs or light scratches. Generally 

still a great playing copy, no skips. Jacket may have more shelf wear,a little writing, sticker residue, punch out/cut out holes or corners.

Very Good - (VG-) - record has noticeable groove wear, minor discoloration, surface noise, louder pops, marks & scratches and/or scuffs but still a decent playing copy, 

no skips. Cover may has heavier shelf wear, more discoloration and split seams.

Good + and Good (G+ and G) - record still plays without skipping but has considerable amounts of groove wear, discoloration, surface noise, scuffs, and/or scratches.  Sleeve has alot of wear and some defects such as split seams, heavy creasing, writing, marks, sticker residue, etc...
