THE BEATLES: ‘YELLOW SUBMARINE’ A VERY SCARCE, FIRST ISSUE, 1969, UK MONO APPLE RECORDS VINYL LP – CATALOGUE No, PMC 7070.
FIRST ‘-1’ matrix’s, **WITH** Sold in UK label text, and Mfd in U.K. on both record labels, with original Black Inner Bag and front laminated picture sleeve, without the sleeve makers name which is usually printed on the bottom flip-back.
This LP was released as the Soundtrack album for the cartoon film ‘Yellow Submarine’although does not include some of the tracks that were featured in the film. Yellow Submarine spent just two weeks at the No 3 position, at the same time The Beatles White Album was still at No 1.
Album Description and Condition
This album was released on the 17th January 1969, and is on the traditional Green & White Half Apple Labels with the ‘Apple Records’ label rim, with ‘Mfd in UK’ and WITH ‘Sold in UK….’ label text to both record labels.
Both record labels are in superb undamaged Near Mint condition, both record labels are undamaged with all printed text clearly legible, and with just signs of a few plays around the the centre of each record label .
Both sides of the glossy, heavyweight vinyl LP are in immaculate Near Mint condition, glossy, clean and undamaged vinyl surfaces to both sides, with just a couple of light surface hairlines, there are absolutely no deep scratches or scuffs.
The LP plays with a splendid sound quality throughout all the tracks – a clear sound quality from this LP with just light static in between some, not all tracks on side 2.
Side 1 matrix, XEX 715-1, and Side 2, XEX 716-1.
Side 1 stamper, 3 G M, and Side 2, 1 G D.
The LP comes in its original Excellent Matt Black Die Cut inner bag, and housed in it’s original front laminated picture sleeve, with two Horizontal red lines either side of the sleeve notes.
The front panel of the sleeve is in very nice Excellent Plus condition, and still retains its deep gloss shine, with just mild LP storage signs.
The reverse panel of the sleeve is in very clean Excellent condition with only mild handling signs to the opening edge, there are no seam splits and the spine edge wording clearly printed and reads ‘The Beatles Yellow Submarine’.
A rare first pressing of this collectible 1969 Beatles Apple Records 1969 Mono vinyl LP.
