Description
The Beatles With The Beatles 1963 Vinyl 1st Mono, Jobete Credit, 1N/1N 1 mothers
This is a first pressing, with all of the characteristics of other first pressings, except this version has no tax code.
The main differentiator of this early pressing, compared to later versions, is the black & yellow Parlophone label with perimeter rim copyright text beginning, 'THE PARLOPHONE CO LTD...', and the text 'RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963' above the side indicator numeral.
There are a number of other differentiators present on both the labels and the cover.
Label:1 - The title of B1 'Roll Over Beethoven' is indented so that the 'R' appears over the 'BI' in 'BIEM' below it. Other versions such as this one have the 'R' over the 'I'.2 - The title of B3 is given as 'You Really Gotta [instead of: 'Got A'] Hold On Me'.3 - The publishing credit for B7 'Money' is given as 'Jobete Mus. NCB'. Later pressings credit 'Dominion.Belinda (Ldn.) Ltd.'.4 - The lack of a UK purchase tax code embossing on the label. A similar variant has a KT code.
Cover:1 - Front laminated, tri-flipback and printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd., with a large 'MONO' indicator on the front, top, right hand corner.2 - The title of track B3 as 'You Really Gotta [instead of: 'Got A'] Hold On Me'.
EMITEX polylined white inner sleeve with the grey text 'Important - TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR MICROGROOVE RECORDS CHECK YOUR GRAMOPHONE STYLUS REGULARLY...A WORN STYLUS WILL GIVE POOR REPRODUCTION...A CHIPPED STYLUS WILL PERMANENTLY DAMAGE A RECORD' in the upper right area, and the text 'USE "EMITEX" CLEANING CLOTH TO PRESERVE YOUR MICROGROOVE RECORDS...OBTAINABLE FROM ALL GOOD RECORD DEALERS' in the lower left area.

side A: 1/RG
side B: 1/GD
The outer sleeve is intact. There is corner wear, some laminate creasing and wear on outer edge. Spine is nice, readable. The rear has a name top right, a few grubby marks and creasing around the flips; they are intact though, no rips or bits missing, very nice - please view all the photos
The original poly lined 'use emitex' inner sleeve , correct for this version (not tracing paper - see DC ref above), is split on one side and has light staining and creasing, as ever, but still in very good condition
The labels have wear around centre hole from previous use. Side one also has a light scratch across part of it, side 2 is better and cleaner - please view all the photos
The vinyl has many scratch marks/light scuffs etc. commensurate with age of the item - still very good visually overall, nothing that stands out or has any significant impact
Playback is largely unaffected by any marks :
Side one plays beautifully, a bit of crackle between songs and a few light pops only. It sounds like an excellent mono recording as it should - really enjoyable
Side two is even better - there are very few marks and it plays brilliantly!
More vinyl listed please take a look, happy to combine items for UK buyers
