Description
The Beatles - The White Album - their first, and only, double album. A very low number, 10652, and of course, top loading sleeve.
Released in 1968, I remember buying this on the day of release, thus the low number, 10652. I have owned it ever since, but it has been unplayed for many years until recently to check how it plays. It has always been played on good equipment and never been loaned to anybody, but it has taken a fair amount of wear and tear over the years!
It plays all the way through all the 4 sides, but there are many fine scratches and a couple of more noticeable scratches. Each record has "Sam Gardener" carefully written in ink on the B side (see the photo); otherwise there is no writing on the discs or cover.
The cover is clean but very worn on the spine and corners (see the photos). It is also no longer flat, i.e. the card has become a little wavy, and the imprint of the records is plain to see.
The photos and poster have gone a long, long time ago, but the original inner sleeves survive, although they are worn and an edge on each is worn through.
My estimation according to the Record Collector guide to condition is that both discs and cover are 'Good', perhaps a little better than 'Good'.
