The Beatles is the ninth official British album and the fifteenth American album by The Beatles, a double album released in 1968. It is more commonly known as "The White Album" as it has no graphics or text other than the band's name (and, on the early LP and CD releases, a serial number) on its plain white sleeve. The album was the first The Beatles undertook following the death of their manager Brian Epstein. Originally entitled A Doll's House, the title was changed when the British progressive band Family released the similarly titled Music in a Doll's House earlier that year.

      McCartney's inspiration: an incident in India involving two monkeys

      Written and performed by Paul for his future wife, Linda

Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs (MFSL) pressing of the White Album. The MFSL Beatles set was issued in 1982 and had direct masters of the original Beatles album master tapes used in its production. The result was the cleanest, most perfect audio recordings available to the public to buy.

Because of their reputation as the best copies of the albums ever released copies are desirable to audiophiles and Beatles collectors alike. A top condition copy containing a variety of inserts that advertised the MFSL range and products (the MFSL copies of the White Album did not include the poster or photos).

*Note: All MFSL albums have two aligning hole punches through the plastic seal (shrink-wrap) on the original seal.  If yours doesn’t, it may have been opened and resealed.  These holes are “original” and are specifically located.
