The sleeve has light laminate buckle to the opening and to three of the corners which are dog-eared, top right, and both bottom corners. There are four laminate splits to the right of the sleeve. The bottom right hand corner is rounded and has a very small tear at the opening. The rear of the sleeve shows light ring-wear. The spine is perfect. Overall, a presentable VG.
When I came by this album, I thought it was a contract pressing. However, I have been reliably informed it is a mistake many people make thinking this to be a C.B.S. pressing although this particular item was in fact pressed at E.M.I. on what was thought to be an old stamping machine. A colleague of mine who specialises in The Beatles has a copy of this in his own personal collection, but his one has the ridge only on one side. He actually sells on this site very successfully his I.D. is Muffmasterh. I turned down his offer for this gem and decided to run with it myself. This copy has the ridge on both sides. Whether that makes this item rarer or not we do not know!
The labels show both spindle and ring-wear. Apart from that, they are very clean. The ridges are prominent on both sides and the middle is sunk on side two.
There are many visible light surface scratches and marks on the vinyl none of which can be felt or is ugly. The audio is above the G+ rating and plays through with the lightest of crackles throughout on both sides.
This incredibly rare ridge pressing should comes complete in its Emitex sleeve.

Items are graded visually according to accepted Record Collector standards.
Sleeves/covers graded first and the vinyl second.
Mint, Ex, Vg, Good, Fair, Poor and Bad.
With the exception of plus and minus signs; (+ & -)
