Description
3 original vinyl U.S. pressings comprising 5 discs, all unplayed including one true dj promo copy. Please note that "Hollywood Bowl" & "Love Songs" are radio station copies that the distributor punched holes in to indicate they were not for sale. IMO, that does not make them promos although some eBay sellers beg to differ. Before you pay big bucks for a "promo," make sure it's the real deal and not just an LP with a hole in it.
1. Live! at the Star-Club in Hamburg, Germany; 1962, 1977 double album - PROMO COPY. Lingasong Records (distributed by Atlantic.) Very clean & beautiful. Mild wear to the center crease of the gatefold -- see photo #4. The purple & green label reads, "D.J. Copy Not for Sale." Please note that there is a tiny bubble (Don Ho reference unintended) in the vinyl run-off on side 4 that may or may not affect play on the last track, "I Remember You." Unable to capture it in a photo, but it's there. A la carte price - $155
2. The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl, 1977 - FACTORY SEALED. A month after Lingasong released "Live!", Capitol Records released this compilation of live recordings from the summers of 1964 & 1965. The album has the punched hole, don't know what's on the label. A la carte price - $40
3. Love Songs, 1977 double album - Half a year after "Hollywood Bowl," Capitol released this album the title of which is self-explanatory. Original illustrated dust jackets & immaculate insert booklet of lyrics. Very slight ring wear -- see photo #9. Some edge wear, not a lot, photo #10. And, yes, it has a hole punched in it! A la carte price - $40

More about the collection: All albums in this and my other listings are from my personal collection dating back to a long-ago career in rock radio. Record sales are not my livelihood, so rather than attempt to grade them using a system in which I have no expertise, I prefer to let the photos and my honest descriptions tell the story. If they're described as unplayed, it's because I never played them and there've been no other owners.
