PARLOGRAM AUCTIONS presents...
THE BEATLES - 'TICKET TO RIDE'/'YES IT IS'
This groundbreaking 45 with it's driving rhythm and innovative drum pattern was way ahead anything else when released in April 1965.
It became the Beatles' seventh consecutive number 1 hit in the UK and their third consecutive number 1 hit in the U.S.
It was also their first single to break the three-minute barrier.
This demonstration disc (R 5265) would have been sent to broadcasters in the UK just prior to its April 9th release date.
The disc has correct oversized white Parlophone labels with a large red 'A' on the 'Ticket To Ride' label.
A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrices: 7XCE 18254-3 & 7XCE 18255-2
Stamper codes: 2/L & 1/T
Housed in a correct green & white Parlophone company sleeve.

Labels: VERY GOOD -
As you can see, both are nice and bright with just a little wear around the 'A' side centre hole. There is a small name written in red ball point in the centre of the 'A' side label and a slightly faded one on the 'b' side in black ink. There are no stickers or missing paper on either.
Visual/Audio: VERY GOOD -
The playing surfaces are clean & glossy although both bear numerous micro-hairlines which are visible beneath halogen light. However, there are no other significant surface marks or scratches.
Despite having been played many times, the sound retains all of its power and presence. Some background is audible on the run-ins and in quieter passages, but there are no skips, repeats or any other major audible faults.
