Description

The Beatles Something New UK Parlophone 1st Press Mega Rare Export Error Press. Stereo. This is an original 1964 1st press export pressing. It’s a label error version. The line below the Parlophone logo on the labels “Sold in the UK…” was not supposed to be there. Matrix numbers are Side 1 YEEX 7- B12 and Side 2 YEEX 8 - B12

There is also a 1 and G stamped in the dead wax on both sides. Look this up, this is a mega rare early pressing variant of this LP and an original yellow/ black UK Parlophone press. THIS ALSO SOUNDS TO MY EARS TO BE A REALLY LOUD MIX OR MASTERING ON THIS PRESSING! IT BANGS AND PLAYS LOUD COMPARED TO THE US PRESS AND EVEN THE ODEON GERMAN MILITARY PRESS I HAVE UP FOR AUCTION.

(See my other listings for a few more rare Beatles Lps! I combine ship wait for invoice before payment.)

CONDITION:

Record and jacket graded at VG / VG.

The Lp has lots of surface scuffs and hairline scratches. It’s truly a VG no better or worse by modern standards.

PLAYING QUALITY:

This Lp actually sounds better than it looks. There is light surface noise that is the worst at the start of each side. The surface noise is heard in between tracks, and is much lighter than the start of the Lp, but not too noticeable once the music starts. There’s light pops here and there but not too bad or offensive to my ears. No skips! I play tested this all the way through on my Techniques turntable. The surface noise is most prominent at the very start of each side on the lead in grooves. This is a very loud playing pressing and the overall fidelity is pretty rocking! You hear the rock and roll more than pops or noise in other words. This has been cleaned by had throughly, a VPI cleaning a few times might improve the sound but I don’t own a machine. I’m a full time record dealer and if I thought the sound or condition of this record was too bad I would not be selling this online and it would be sold in person at the record shows and events I sell at every weekend.

COVER CONDITION:

There are amazingly no spits on any of the spines of this cover. See pictures they are not altered digitally. There are creases, and wear on the cover. The laminated cover is pretty good, the laminate isn’t coming off. Some people would VG+ this cover, but I’m being liberal.

SHIPPING:

Ships, Lp out of the jacket, poly bagged, new white inner sleeve. Ships in a standard Lp mailer with extra cardboard flats for protection.
