Description
I am offering for sale The Beatles Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band 1967 laminated gatefold Mono LP with original insert. Very early pressing. THIS RECORD DOES NOT HAVE THE TAX CODE WORDING OR "SOLD IN UK SUBJECT TO RESALE, PRICE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LIST" on the label.
Parlophone yellow and black label
XEX.637 and XEX638.
PMC 7027
On side one in the run off are the letters "RDT"
On side two in the run off are the letters "MOD"
I believe this to be AN EARLY MONO PRESSING WHICH IS QUITE RARE
The record itself is in ex. condition with only an odd light mark which is only shows under strong light. It does not affect or detract from the sound quality.
The inner sleeve is white with a patent No. 1,125,55 in the bottom left hand corner and "Made in Great Britain in bottom right hand corner. There is some discolouration to this but there are no tears or splits.
The laminated gatefold is in very good plus condition for its age. On the rear someone has stuck a flower on the top right hand corner (obviously a flower-power person of the 60's) and there is some rubbing further down but overall I would say it is very acceptable. The gatefold was printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patent Pending.
The original insert is in mint condition.
I apologise for some of the photos. There are some flash marks which are not on the cover or record but from my camera.
