Description
This is an original 1st UK mono pressing of The Beatles - Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. My father-in-law is downsizing his extensive record collection, this is an original release and has been very well taken care of over the years - grab yourself a gem!
This is on yellow Parlophone labels, PMC7027. The matrices are: Side 1 - XEX 637 - 1 Side 2 - XEX 638 - 1
The labels are clean and there are some spindle marks when turned to the light. There is some (small) writing on side 1 (see photo). No visible surface marks, and has the red half-tone print on white "psychedelic" inner sleeve. The original "cut-outs" insert is still completely intact and undamaged (see photo). It is in full colour, with the printed signatures of of Blake and Haworth at the bottom.
The sleeve is the classic Garrod & Lofthouse laminated gatefold cover (flipback glue tabe on inner spread). Spine has slight damage but is still easily readable. The front has one slight crease, but no discolouring or splits. The back has a slight crease in the bottom right hand side. Absolutely excellent condition, as you can see by the photos.
