Description

  • Lovely MONO FIRST PRESSING of Sgt. Peppers. VG Vinyl, VG Cover, has the Red Inner sleeve, and the Peter Blake Cut Out insert and it has the Wide Spine which were rarer than the more common narrow spines. Please check the photos for a comparison of the 2 spines; the one in this listing is shown on the left. I have also included some content from the Beatles Collection web site which verifies this is a First Pressing.
  • Matrix numbers are side one (XEX 637-1) and side two (XEX 638-1). The “KT“ is stamped on side one near the spindle hole.
  • This record has been pro-cleaned and stored in a new inner sleeve. The original red Inner sleeve is included in the auction as is the Peter Blake cut out insert
  • This Vinyl record has been played a lot, there are some surface marks and scratches. But because the tracks segue into each other there is very little opportunity for between tracks crackle and hiss. There is a notable scratches  on “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and in verse one of “She’s leaving home”. And I heard minor scratches on “When i’m 64” but overall the marks on the record are all but inaudible and this is a great mono mix. Peppers was recorded after all on a 4 track
  • I have listened to it twice through recently and there’s nothing that detracts from this magical LP record. There are no skips, sticks, jumps or bad scratches other than the minor ones mentioned above.
  • The Cover shows minor signs of wear, commensurate with an LP that’s 51 years old. Wide Spine, centre spread, back etc are all vgc. Please check photos.
  • Records are posted in New Cardboard Mailers with additional cardboard stiffeners. This LP will weigh with packaging about 600g, so given Royal Mail price increases P&P will be UK(£4.20), Europe (£9.70) and Asia/USA (£12.65).”.
  • Please email me any questions/queries you might have.
