Description
THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'
Released in August 1966, this ground-breaking album marked not only a change of style for The Beatles but for popular music itself.
This pressing is unique as it includes the alternate 'remix 11' of 'Tomorrow Never Knows' which was only available on discs with an 'XEX 606-1' side 2 matrix.
This mix was replaced with an alternate mix after the first day of pressing and 'remix 11' has never been commercially available since.
This spectacular UK 1st mono pressing dates from day of release on 5th August 1966 on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text with an 'KT' purchase tax code in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 605-2 & XEX 606-1
Stamper codes: 1/GH & 1/RT
Vinyl weight: 160g
The disc is housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback, 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original plain white 'Patents Applied For' worded inner-sleeve.

Labels: NEAR MINT
A pristine pair bearing just two spindle trails around the side 1 centre hole and no more than 2/3 on side 2.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Outside of a sealed/unplayed copy, this is as pristine as you will ever find this LP. Each playing surface is factory-fresh with nothing more than a couple of barely visible wisps and an sparkling rainbow shine directly beneath halogen light. Both sides of this immaculate disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
Played just once or twice, this amazing sounding example plays as cleanly and clearly as the day it was bought. There is not trace of any grove/playwear or any of the annoying crackle which spoils so many copies of this pressing. You will not be disappointed with this gem.
Cover: NEAR MINT
Carefully stored in a non-smoking environment, this beautiful example is as clean & fresh as when it left the store 50 years ago.
The front panel is perfectly white & glossy with no yellowing, scratching, ringwear or even a single 'thumbnail'.
All corners are perfectly square and unbumped.
Both opening edges are clean & sharp with no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is clean & black where it should be with no ringwear, writing or missing/rubbed paper.
All flipbacks are fully intact and in-place.
Both upper & lower seams are smooth, unstressed & unsplit.
The spine is fully laminated and worded with just a single faint bend as shown below.
Inner-sleeve: NEAR MINT
Clean, flat & unyellowed with no writing, tears or seam splits.
In our opinion, this example represents a true final upgrade copy.
