The Beatles - Revolver LP 1966 Parlophone UK MONO Press
Rare label print error on side 2 - the Parlophone '£' logo is almost completely black.
'Dr. Robert' on sleeve & 'Doctor Robert' on label.
Please read description carefully and study all photographs.
PRESSING DETAILS: PMC 7009 UK 2nd Press (side 1 XEX 605-2 & side 2 XEX 606-2)
SLEEVE: (VG-) Original front laminated UK sleeve printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Patents Pending has light wear from use and storage with light staining and ring wear to the back and a few laminate creases to the front. Some damage to the the flaps in a couple of areas - surface scuffing near the top right corner and a surface split/tear to the bottom right corner. The front is still very white. There is some scuffing to the spine but most of the text is readable.
INNER SLEEVE: (VG) Plain white paper inner has some light creasing and general light wear.
RECORD LABELS: (VG) Clean labels with no writing and no stickers. Both sides have some light & mild spindle marks when angled under bright light. The usual thing about the labels is the Parlophone '£' logo on Side 2 is almost completely black where the yellow has been printed slightly too far to the right - this also creates a yellow shadow to the 'Trade Mark' text and the word 'Parlophone' when angled under bright light. Side 1 the '£' logo is perfect as you would expect. This is most definitely a manufacturing error and it is surprising that the quality control at EMI records didn't notice it. No writing and no stickers.
VINYL CONDITION VISUALLY: (G+) Vinyl is flat and glossy with few light scratches and lots of light and mild hairlines and paper scuffs when viewed under bright light. Nothing deep or serious. Both sides look a little dusty in places and may benefit from a professional clean.
Strict grading using Record Collector grading system. All records are play tested on a Technics SL-1210 MK2 record player with a Shure White Label Cartridge and Stylus. All records are sent in correct record mailers or cruciform box with at least 4 cardboard stiffeners and the vinyl removed for the the original inner and put in a new polylined inner sleeve outside of the cover to make sure no splits happen during delivery. All vinyl is sent tracked and signed for.
RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING
All records are graded using the Record Collector Grading System with (+) or (-) to show a slightly higher or lower grade.
M (Mint) : The Record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EX (Excellent): The Record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VG (Very Good) : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
G (Good) : The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
F (Fair) : The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
